Roof Boards
Traditional timberframe homes have finish-quality wood surfaces known as "roof boards" on the sloped ceiling of the underside of the roof. (The same finish-quality wood surfaces on the flat ceilings of the first floor are known as "ceiling boards.") Many of our clients prefer this all-wood appearance to the painted gypsum wallboard found in typical homes. Pine in natural stained finishes is the most popular choice.
We offer the following roof infill options:
- Clear, mixed-grain fir
- Whitewashed pine
- Oiled knotty pine
- Oiled clear pine
- Stained pine
- Gypsum wallboard
