Timberframe Production CNC Equipment Operator

Bensonwood, a design-build company, located in Walpole, NH, seeks a CNC Equipment Operator to join its growing team.

Position Summary

The multifaceted Production CNC Equipment Operator will have responsibilities assisting with production and CNC (Hundegger K1 and SC1) operation.  This role will also take the lead in learning the new Hundegger Robot Drive machine which is currently only the 2nd of its kind in the United States.  This role will be based in our Walpole, NH facility and report to the Timberframe Team Leader.


Primary CNC Operation Responsibilities

  • Operating and/or programming of CNC machines (knowledge of Hundegger machine a plus) following all CNC Standard Operating Procedures
    • Reviewing setup sheet, job order paperwork, and specifications to determine setup procedure, machine sequence, and dimensions for finished work piece
  • Coordinating and prioritizing cutting schedules for Timberframe shop
  • Adjusting machine feed and speed and changes cutter to machine parts according to specifications and to maximize machining capabilities
  • Keeping the duty station, tools, workbenches, and all equipment clean, maintained, and safe for work
  • Preparing and distributes detailed daily report summarizing work progress
  • Machine calibration


Ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-4 years CNC experience desirable
  • Ability to navigate 3D and 2D CAD files
  • A desire to learn & apply innovative green building techniques
  • Computer literacy and ability to work in email communication
  • Familiarity in CAD programs helpful (Cadwork, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing database systems a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation will be based on skill level and experience with anticipated hourly wage range between $14-21 per hour
