Position Summary

This position is part of the Timberframe Team currently located at our facility in Walpole, NH. The right applicant works with a team of twelve timber frame associates reporting to the team leader. This role is responsible for assisting with the production and preparation of the timbers used to create a Bensonwood home.

The Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Experience as a skilled timber framer
  • At least two years of woodworking shop experience. Machinist shop skills applicable
  • Computer literacy and familiarity in AutoCAD or similar programs helpful
  • The desire to learn and apply innovative green building techniques
  • We are willing to train the right candidate for this full-time role

Essential Role Functions

  • Standing for long periods, walking and running
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work safely and accurately with both heavy objects and sharp tools
  • Ability to visualize in 3 dimensions
  • Ability to:
    • Lift at least 50 lbs
    • Work safely and effectively at high elevations
    • Safely operate hazardous equipment
    • Travel, sometimes for weeks at a time, as this role includes site time
    • Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures
    • Work overtime if required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
