Nantucket Timberframe

Nantucket, Massachusetts

1996

A classic timberframe home on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Cruck timber frame engineering throughout the house, most notably in the massive library with its beautiful curved timbers. Douglas fir timbers accented with wrought iron holdings. The inspiration of the architecture comes from the Bernard Maybeck Arts and Crafts Movement and Craftsman cottage design. Architecture and design collaboration from Scott Wood and Bensonwood.
