Timber Frame

We use timber frames as an enabling approach to achieve faster site times and seamless integration with our panelized building enclosures and mass timber work. That timber framing method delivers spacious and visually compelling interiors. The strength and durability of our timber frame homes are paramount, which is why we design homes with an emphasis on quality materials and time-tested techniques.  

Today, we use advanced technology, including computer-aided design and computer numeric control (CNC) machinery such as our 6-Axis fabrication robotic machine, which includes a 16-tool magazine and can process 6 sides of a timber house component without rotation. It can be configured for complex cutting and joinery, delivering accurate and consistent joinery in timber up to 48’’ wide. The machining capability includes pre-drilling for countersinks or screws, which streamlines the design-build process, ensuring precision and efficiency.

In turn, we build those visions better and smarter than general contractors. We use detailed digital fabrication models to plan each timber house element, including the cutting routines and tool paths involved. You get a chance to review the details in collaboration with the designers and other building systems.
