A prefab timberframe cabin on Barndoor Island in Alton, New Hampshire. The design of the family retreat focuses on outdoor living and activity with beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee. A classic Douglas fir timberframe with eastern white pine wood walls and cherry accents. The wood interiors with no sheetrock give the cabin an elegant and refined feel. The arched windows with craftsmen window grilles and vaulted ceilings add plenty of natural light to the family gathering room. Custom Bensonwood Douglas fir interior doors and trim highlighted by eastern white pine stairs with modern style cable guardrails. The prefabricated construction of the project is well suited for challenging and remote building sites as well as minimal environmental disruption.
