The Houghton Arts Center is a certified net-zero building at The White Mountains School in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. The architectural design is by Ruhl Walker Architects in Boston, Massachusetts. Bensonwood provided the engineering and general contracting for this high-performance building. The engineered wood curtain walls are Canadian cross laminated black spruce fabricated from reclaimed timbers. The outdoor stage columns came from a nearby forest. All clapboards are solid white painted fiber-cement with a stone base to match with the rest of the campus architecture.
