A Milestone for Sustainable Construction in Keene
We are pleased to share that after seven years of leasing, we’ve officially purchased our 104,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 25 Production Avenue in Keene, New Hampshire. This development isn’t just a real estate transaction for us – it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to Keene, to sustainable design homes, and to our community.
Since our founding in 1972, we’ve been on a mission to revolutionize the construction industry with eco-friendly practices. This facility acquisition is a major step forward in that mission.
“By owning this facility, we are not only securing our future growth but also deepening our roots in the region. Our commitment to sustainable building practices and innovative construction methods is unwavering.“ – Tedd Benson, Founder and CEO.
A Community Effort
We couldn’t have done this alone. We owe a huge thank you to the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for their support. They helped us secure $8.6 million in financing for renovations and new equipment for design homes. That financing included a $270,000 Community Development Block Grant and federal tax credits.
As Cody Morrison, Executive Director of MEDC, said, “Creative projects like this help build community and contribute to a way of life that we know and love in the Monadnock Region.”
We couldn’t agree more.
“The careful planning and execution of the building and its infrastructure enabled us to start producing sustainable buildings for New England immediately. Repurposing this building in the heart of Keene not only provided great jobs but also created an ergonomic work environment, turning a dream into reality.” – Jay Lepple, Production Officer.
