Trailside Ski House

Ludlow, Vermont

2005

A trailside timberframe ski home on the Sachem trail at Okemo Mountain Resort. Classic Bensonwood timber frame design with rustic elegant mountain architecture. Large roof overhangs from the cedar siding on the exterior and douglas fir timbers on the interior. The vaulted ceiling of the trailside home capture the southern sun while large windows highlight the views of Vermont. An open kitchen and dining area share a large native stone fireplace seen from all three floors. Bedrooms on each level allow for flexibility and privacy for family and guests alike. The garage functions as a barn for extra gathering space when needed.
